Jeremiah Willey Obituary, Hooksett, NH Missing Found Dead Death

Authorities in Hooksett have identified the man recovered from the Merrimack River as Jeremiah Willey, a 25-year-old resident of Allenstown.

The recovery came Sunday morning after search operations resumed around 8 a.m. following an overnight suspension. At about 9:15 a.m., the New Hampshire Fish and Game Dive Team located the body during coordinated efforts on the water.

Investigators believe Willey fell into the river from a railroad bridge near Riverside Street. A witness observed him struggling in the water before he submerged and did not resurface.

The search involved multiple agencies, including New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol, state troopers, and local emergency services. Crews utilized sonar-equipped boats and dive teams to systematically search the area.

At this time, authorities do not consider the death suspicious. The investigation remains active as officials continue to gather information.
